The show is a hybrid form combining devil's club and diabolo with mouth percussion and impressive vocal acrobatics. In his Pièces Détachées, Gaspard Herblot explores the writing of orality, imbued with phonic and rhythmic effects, to make a critical statement about the world and its masters.
Between humor and sensitivity, technical and vocal prowess and juggling virtuosity, this is a rich and magnificently orchestrated show that will seduce young and old alike.
Presented at street festivals in France and Belgium, the show is perfectly suited to young audiences. It is an interactive, performative indoor show. The author-performer draws on his own personal story to draw spectators into an atypical visual and sound universe that conveys meanings such as criticism of standardization and consumer society, or refusal of the loss of meaning... Between urban culture and live performance, Gaspard Herblot handles a subtle equation between text, rhythm and juggling.
